Good Press…

…is good press, even if I can’t read it!  It was really exciting when a little over a week ago a sampling of my work was featured on the BoltArt website, which was co-founded by a friend of mine, Merve Unsal.  The site is totally in Turkish (thank god for Google Translator!) but has gotten amazing press in the states, in Art in America and the NYTimes.  Very cool stuff.  Merve wrote about my work and featured an image a day, going all the way back to some of my work from 2004, which was very cool/surreal to see it written about in contemporary context, since in my brain it’s now ancient history.  Definitely check out their site, even if you can’t read Turkish!  Tons of great images to scroll through, and if you can read it, great writing 🙂

playing with words…

So, via another blog (by Leslie K. Brown, of former PRC fame) I stumbled upon a really cool site for those of us who love to geek out about words!  It’s called Wordle and generates a “cloud” of words from any text you choose to paste in, or from any website with an RSS feed.  I decided to Wordle my own blog, and here are the results…. ta da!

Who I am…

I am a self-professed geek. I happen to be an artist. I like to geek out about art, specifically photography.

I have another location on the interwebs here

And if you need a photography tutor, check me out
